I've tested Gofile's web portal and the File & Image Uploader on the same file and got ~130MB/s on the webportal vs 10MB/s on the uploader. Did a traceback and it seems the uploader is uploading to an endpoint that isn't local to me. Providing users this option would be very beneficial.

Upload speed depends on your connection and the server you use.
Try to upload from browser and compare the speed.

Maybe VPN has better connection to the server you use than your local connection.

im running windows 11 24H2 and whenever i use Zoom without a VPN i always get slow upload speeds. As soon as i turn on the VPN i get full upload speeds to the servers.

does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

is it something to do with the type of connection the vpn changes to?  TCP/UDP?
