Crash (thumbcache.dll)
« on: 08-09-2017, 16:25:29 »
Lately, when I open the file upload dialog, the app crashes with an error related to thumbcache.dll. Deleting Windows' thumbnail cache and logging out and in again (rebooting is not an option as it's a shared host and I have no admin access) and deleting the app's settings didn't solve the issue either.

Hi,
this is some problem related to remote desktop. I don't know how to help with that.
What system is it and which kind of remote connection do you use?

It's Windows Server 2008 R2 and I'm using the Microsoft Remote Desktop app (mstsc.exe) on Windows 10, and it also happens to a friend on Windows 8.1. It was working just fine with the same setup before, I have no idea what changed.

Did you edit out the links to crash info files after checking them, or did the forum remove them before you saw it?

I see. I would need access to such computer to be able to test it.
There are known issues on remote desktop I have seen in the past.
I may try to add special flag into my program which may solve that.

Crash log does not help much.

I assume you can drag&drop files into my program, right?
Maybe it is because icons in the open dialog. When you used list instead of icons, it would work.
