What is Buffer Size?
« on: 22-08-2009, 07:19:12 »
Can you please explain what the buffer size affects?  I can guess that setting it too small could cause problems.  Is there any problem with just always using the maximum setting?  1024 kB is pretty small so I don't mind wasting a little memory.  Is there any performance concern with it being big even if my upload bandwidth is small?

Thanks!

buffer size depends on connection! it means what big parts are sent as one packet ...

if you set 1024kB and you don't have broadband (100mbit) connection, the upload may fail or the progress won't show ...

I have a question. What is the better buffer size configuration for a 32mb download and 9mb upload rate??

it depends just on the upload speed, so you can use some higher value
