Connection not established: Check connection
« on: 28-02-2010, 19:53:04 »
Hi there, every time I start the program (Using the latest on this website), I try to upload a file to megaupload and I always seem to get that error, Connection not established: Check connection. For the past 30 mins I was looking through all of the settings in this program but I couldn't find anything to solve this problem... I even exited and opened the program multiple times

Nope, I tried clicking the blue question mark and sending a test mail, but I can't send anything it says.

I'll send you the ip through pm

How would I be able to check the error log? Like, what file would it be?

And I can connect to the internet and everything from this computer.

oh, I can see it now ... I bet that the problem is AVG (probably 9). You should try to unistall it and try my app again.

I searched the internet ...

That error can be somewhat ambiguous but it is typically indicative of blocked outbound communications. Consider these possibilities and see if anything fits.
1. You have a Proxy Server that you go through for Internet Access.
2. Just prior to this error occurring you installed XP Service Pack 2 and the Windows Firewall is now turned on.
3. You've installed one of the many available Internet Security programs such as Norton Internet Security, Zone Alarm, etc. etc.
If any of these are true then you need to make sure that the program you are using has permission to access the Internet or at least the port you are trying to use is open.

It seems to be working, it was my AVG. Thanks
