Title: [OK] Filecloud question
Post by: Jinxy1961 on 19-01-2013, 16:23:00
I use filecloud, and I noticed on my zoom uploader something odd today. Perhaps you can help clairify it for me.

When you go to upload, you click the upload button and the filehost drop down menu appears. What is odd is that now I have 2 filecloud's listed:

Filecloud.io
Filecloud.io[API]

I have never heard of the second one, and am confused. Is this accurate or just an error?

Thanks,
Jinxy1961

it is the same but 2 methods for uploading ... I don't know which one is better,
so I left both ... you have to test it

Well I uploaded about 10 files ranging in size from 116mb up to 485mb using the filecloud.io[API], then compared the upload times with files of similiar sizes that I had already uploaded with filecloud.io. There was no difference in speed of upload. So I'm not sure why they would create something that is the same as the first product. Go figure...  ???

the second one has direct access for programs,
first one is older and it was a little more difficult to add it ... that's why

Well that is news.. guess that would make sense to update the program.. so it wasn't a beta, but an updated version. I wonder if they have plans on keeping both.
