suli, you're welcome.

thanks to everybody for feedback, so i think there is an general issue with wine 1.3.34 and zoom.

nothing to concern about, but to know about ;) as long as there are lower wine-versions than 1.3.34 available, it will be fine ...

BTW: truly, since downgrade to 1.2.3 it seems that zoom works somewhat faster and smoother here...

regards

i used wine1.2 because i dont know how to install wine1.3.33 or wine1.3.32 from terminal.
but since it's working fine...i don't care... LOI

Thanks ben for telling everybody...

I am also experiencing problems with the latest wine version.

In my case I am using ubuntu 10.10 and when I try to load the file uploader with wine the user session reboots and instantly I am back to the login window.

I wan't to inform you, that since updating to wine v1.3.34 (from 2. Dec, wich is still an developing beta of wine 1.3) something went's wrong with using zoom under wine.

Zoom flashes shortly in "Taskbar" and disappears, unable to start the programm.

I just downgraded to wine 1.2.3 (which is the latest stable release, and the only version i was able to access quickly via the Synaptic and without searching and installing debs manually) and zoom works fine again.

So at this point maybe this problem is only an issue on my machine, but if not: if u people using Wine 1.3.33 currently, i recommend to NOT upgrade to 1.3.34. If you already done and experiencing problems, go to Synaptic and try downgrading Wine 1.3 to Wine 1.2 (by installing wine 1.2.3, the wine 1.3.34 removal will be done in the same action for you, installation and settings of windows-applications will be kept usually)

Maybe someone can confirm this issue?
