Title: [OK] Youtube - working last night, then it froze, won't work since then?
Post by: HitMeWithIt on 25-10-2009, 19:08:33
Hi. I was using the program, latest updated version of v4, to upload to youtube last night ans it was going fine, uploaded 3 files and then my PC froze a bit and so did the program. In the end I rebooted windows.
Now I cannot get it to upload to youtube no matter what. I can't work out the problem either.
Here are the details of my setup:

Windows XP SP2
NOD32 v4 with http port checking etc disabled.
Windows firewall only and it has exceptions for fileuploader.exe

ERROR LOG:

25/10/2009 18:05:00 MU:502:HTTP resource access error occured, code = 502 (imageshack.us)

That error with imageshack was not usual. it uploaded fine on a second try. it is the youtube errors that are new to me here.
Every time I try to upload to youtube I get that same error in the log and a failed result in the program window.
I checked my youtube account in the settings and it is right and has always worked until now.
Help...?

should work fine ;)
clean up your cookies in IE, delete temp etc.
maybe deleting .nast file can help (settings file, might be corrupted)

I did both of those things and still the exact same problem?
I wonder...does it use SSL or any kind of secure connection for youtube?
I ask that only because all day since about 5pm UK time, my email program, thebat, has been unable to collect any of my mail from gmails pop 3 servers...or send any through their smtp which both use secure connections.
something may have gone weird with my PC. what I have no idea...

Uploading to youtube was a success through the web browser. Plus I worked out the gmail pop3 thing, it was NOD32 email protection...I thought it was disabled.
so I have looked at NOD32 again to see if it is blocking ther software but it seems not. I have tried with nod32 totally disabled, prevented from starting and with all settings to off but still I cannot upload to youtube through the program...!

Here is all the log keeps saying when I try:

Hmm I am a bit P'd off to consider uninstalling NOD32 but, I have to say after recently upgrading to it's version 4  I have had the odd problem with it blocking stuff, or just being annoyingly slow when it is scanning everything and not letting me have the settings the way I prefer...to scan only some things!
so I might even go back to version 3 which is less intrusive and, seemingly, more compatible with more software.
I just hope that version 3 will work on windows 7 as I am upgrading soon!
OK. Will try totally disabling everything of NOD32 and then if still no joy, will uninstall it!
I'll let you know.

this might be the problem with NOD4 ... just go to settings and turn off the HTTP control ... it will work again

Hmm this is annoying now.
I have uninstalled NOD32 and now have abslutely NO security programs on my PC.
All other programs I have that need to access the net, can and do so.
I don't know what is going on here but your program will just not work with youtube for me any more.
It hates me :(

maybe that caused the problem??
