Title: [OK] Error in speed
Post by: Partida on 25-06-2009, 02:54:32
My uploads are in an unreal speed, and fail.

My real upload is 576 kbs; no more.

I think is kaspersky internet security.

Any suggestion?

Please excuse my poor english.

Hi,
this is problem of Windows libraries ...
Do you use NOD3 or 4, or Kaspersky antivirus?

//This topic will be moved to "Bugs"

that is the problem ... it modifies windows libraries somehow ... :(

you can reinstall windows or try this ...

unistall AV, fix, restart, install

NOD is good, but ... I didn't have any problem with it ... it depends on IE and libraries :(

Hi, I really would like to help you but to tell the truth, I dont know :(
you should try some "magic" with NOD, try to reinstall it etc.

I found this for you, I wish it helped ;)

I have the same problem, but I really prefer the upload advantages than knowing the real upload speed, so I think "I Can live" whith or whithout this bug, so don´t worry so much z_o_o_m, the advantages are bigger than the negative points.

My congratulations again and again

if you had this problem, you wouldn't be able to upload :D
because if you get "super speed", the upload fails :)

hi z_o_o_m:

OF COURSE, I BELIEVE ON U, SO I´M USING YOUR PROGRAMM, but I´m uploading without problems (and also downloading those files). It must be because of my PC config or whatever else, but although I start uploading at unbeliable speed (100Mb/s) for my real speed (50% of each file) the rest is uploaded at real speed so I don´t know what happnes BUT......it works !! so for me there´s NO PROBLEM

I don´t know what happens with my PC but till now your programm is working without problems and i´m happy with this so i forget theory and confide on my personal pc practice

HAVE A NICE DAY

Hi, sorry, I don't speak spanish :)

my program does NOT limit your speed, so ... if 20kB/s is your maximum of your connection, it can't go higher. Notice, that 20kB/s = 160kb/s ;) 1B=8b :) (bit x byte)

Post by: z_o_o_m on 21-07-2009, 19:09:28
you have to try to unistall it first, if the problem is NOD ;)

new engine will be fine I hope ...

Hey z_o_o_m,

Could you make your new engine so I can test it? And add the following hosts?
-Multiupload.com
-Turboupload.com

(To the new engine)

Thanks,

CaptainBri

Simply turn off the firewall in KIS2010 (Windows 7) and upload speed is fine.

The problem is the firewall and not the DLL.

I have found a fix, check last 4 posts here http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=74273&hl=file+upload+problem

Edit: It is working. I have applied latest Winsock fix from Microsoft and disabled Web-Antivirus completely in Kaspersky 2010 and uploads are working properly now.

I have Windows 7 RTM 32bit and Eset NOD4 and I have the same problem as you. On the second PC I have the same OS but Eset SmartSecurity4. On both computers File&Image Uploader doesn't work properly and upload fails with "super speed" and time-out. If I've disabled AV and firewall, nothing changed. Now, I've uninstalled Eset and bug is out. But I want to have Eset NOD4... I've tried new engines of F&I Uploader too and second one is still bad, but the first one seems to work good... But file upload progress is countdowning :-O

Eset firewall is completely useless, maybe it would be possible to use only that antivirus and completely shutdown that lame firewall :)

How I said... On one computer I use only Eset Nod Antivirus 4 and the I have a problem with your software until I uninstall Eset AV...

Post by: z_o_o_m on 06-08-2009, 12:04:29
I can't help ;) as this is a problem of Eset

I also use Windows 7 and i experienced problems with upload. But after unninstal of ESS4 a instalation of ESS3 which i use in my Win XP problem is solved. Win 7 told me that ESS 3 is not compatible with this version of Windows  but it doesn´t matter, it seems that it will work properly.
Title: Re: [OK] Error in speed

Yes ESS3 does not have this bug, ESS4.2 should be fixed in future ;)

I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and I have the super upload speed problem again. It didn't happen or was fixed in RC3 and now happening again in RC4.

More info:
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit
AV: KIS 2010
Host tested: Megaupload
FIU version: FIU 5 RC4

EDIT: I have all settings allowed for this app in KIS 2010, it says "Trusted: assigned by user".

you probably have to remove it and add it again to trusted ;)

Ok, I will try that. By the way the upload speed at the bottom of the window is not right. It's showing over 766 KB/s upload but I only have 130 KB/s. It's showing incorrect upload completion estimates.

Post by: z_o_o_m on 17-11-2009, 18:03:06
it should be ok after few seconds ;) it is just "start" speed

I have same problems with that "false" upload speed an then the error uploading. I'm using Windows 7 x64 and NOD32 v4 (64 bits).
In Windos XP 32 bits with NOD32 v4 (32 bits) File&Image Uploader works fine.
I'll try uninstalling NOD32 in Windows 7. Hope it works.
Thanks to all.
