Sites that do not exist anymore
« on: 21-06-2024, 11:15:44 »
I checked the sites that are in the list of supported hosts, but a large number of them do not exist or take you to a completely different site.

Such items may look nice in statistics, because they boost the number of supported sites, but in practice they only introduce unnecessary mess.

I think it is also a fairly common phenomenon that such sites die and new ones appear in their place.

The home page lists 104 sites supporting video hostings of which only 17 are operational.

And two that seem to have changed their mode of operation.

I mean: +account +account

In addition, the home page on the lists of supported sites does not list all the sites that can be found in the program.

I checked the pages from the program level and there, too, much does not work in this:

The server is not responding:

I am blocked for no reason:

I have checked the hosts that are listed in the program and they show up as working, but in fact it is impossible to log in/register in them or they are not working for other reasons. (registration not working) (registration does not work) (support redirects to (no login or contact option) (After creating an account, it is impossible to log in. Remind password throws page error) (link to activate account does not come) (Registration successfully completed and still can't log in, no account activation link) (account activation link does not come) (no link with account activation) (registration does not work)

There is large amount of sites in my program and I can't check all of them regularly.
Sometimes I clean it but it takes time.

I'm guessing this could be tough, but I think some mechanism to automatically synchronize the list of sites shown on the website and in the program would be useful.

Additionally, as if you have a free moment, could you remove the pages that I have already checked myself and listed as not working?

It's not an complete check of all the sites, but it will always at least partially reduce unnecessary spam and improve the readability in the program, and I've already prepared a list of sites so that you don't have to check them yourself in succession along with the ones that work.

With Quick-Reply you can write a post when viewing a topic without loading a new page. You can still use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post.
