That's the error log
And I run Vista Home Premium, with AVG firewall/antivirus

oh, I can see it now ... I bet that the problem is AVG (probably 9). You should try to unistall it and try my app again.
I searched the internet ...
That error can be somewhat ambiguous but it is typically indicative of blocked outbound communications. Consider these possibilities and see if anything fits.
1. You have a Proxy Server that you go through for Internet Access.
2. Just prior to this error occurring you installed XP Service Pack 2 and the Windows Firewall is now turned on.
3. You've installed one of the many available Internet Security programs such as Norton Internet Security, Zone Alarm, etc. etc.
If any of these are true then you need to make sure that the program you are using has permission to access the Internet or at least the port you are trying to use is open.
