Rapidgator question
« on: 01-05-2019, 13:07:09 »
Hi!

This thing happens many times, but I don't really understand it.

I insert the same file to upload to Filejoker and Rapidgator.

Zoom starts to upload to filejoker, I can see the upload speed and after 26 sec I got a download link. Ok.

Zoom doesn't start to upload to Rapidgator, it doesn't show upload speed, yet after 4 sec I got a working download link. And I can see the file in my Rapidgator filelist.
Could you please explain how is it possible? Thanks in advance! :)

Magic :) Rapidgator uses special anti-duplicate mechanism. Duplicate files are not uploaded, just copied.

It's an operation Rapidgator added a couple months ago. It's to stop using upload bandwidth when not necessary.

This means if you have a really slow internet and someone else has uploaded a file that is already on Rapidgator's server, RG will just copy their file into your account and give you a different URL link.

If the file matches their hash it gets uploaded to your account in a couple seconds.
